# Finance an electric vehicle

Harmoney offers two ways to finance an electric vehicle. Electric vehicles have a higher upfront cost than their petrol equivalents, but lower running costs over time. Whether you are buying a new EV or a used one, Harmoney can help with the purchase price. A secured loan offers a lower rate with the vehicle as collateral. An unsecured loan gives you flexibility with no PPSR registration requirement. Either way, your rate is fixed and there are no early repayment fees — so if the running cost savings let you pay it off sooner, you can.
